At the 2005 annual meeting, the IFGA decided to change and update its membership requirements. In the past, membership to the IFGA was limited to clubs; individuals could not be members of the IFGA. Given the widespread use of computers and electronic messaging, the IFGA is now able to change and expand its membership structure and membership benefits. Individuals are now invited to join the IFGA, effective January 1, 2006 and will receive the following benefits:

Access to the ‘members-only’ portion of the web site, which will include:

     IFGA Ebulletin

   IFGA Library

   IFGA Forum

Member Eligibility for:
     IFGA Annual Awards and Master Breeder recognition
     IFGA Judging Seminars and Tests

     IFGA Judging Credentials
     IFGA Office
     Listing in the Guppy Store

     These benefits will be available for membership dues of $25 per year, the previous cost of a second class subscription. We also offer a life time membership for a one time fee of $150.00
 

     The new ebulletin will be much improved, with more pictures of guppies and their breeders, as well as original articles by your favorite writers. Show results, competitive standings and other basic information will still be on the public web site, open to all.         

     In order to receive the monthly password allowing access to the "Members-Only" portion of the web site (where the IFGA ebulletin will be displayed) membership dues and a completed application form must be sent to the IFGA Treasurer.  Access passwords will be updated and e-mailed to members monthly and the bulletins will remain on the web site for one (1) year. The 'members-only' section will also include many of the specialty articles by top breeders over the years.
